Maranatha Missions Department
The purpose of the Maranatha Missions Department is to be the vehicle through which Maranatha Church responds to the great Commission of our Lord, Jesus Christ, as expressed in Matthew 28: 19-20; Mark 16:15; and John 20:21. We believe the Great Commission specifically means:
1.     Proclamation of the Gospel where it is not known (I Corinthians 15:1-4);
2.     Discipleship of believers and formation of local churches where none now exist;
3.     Ministry to the total needs of the people – whether physical, mental or spiritual- as an expression of the love of God.
The Maranatha Missions Department partners with many mission ministries throughout the world to accomplish our purpose.  Activities of these ministries include: evangelism, church planting, training pastors, bible study programs, operation of orphanages, providing medical care, nutritional programs, prison ministry, youth ministries, counseling and operations of a school in Nan Colo, Haiti.
Special Projects/Programs

Maranatha Elementary Mission School is a non-profit corporation authorized by the Haitian Department of Education to offer primary student certificates. Nearly 275 students are enrolled, from pre-school to sixth grade. The school provides employment opportunities for the local communities, including: teachers, kitchen workers, janitors, administrative staff and support.
During the 2009 school term, nearly 17,000 meals were served to students. The school lunch may be the only daily meal for many of the students. Bible study is an important part of the daily school curriculum.
